June 11th- June 20th

This Past weekend we took off to Lago Calima. It's a beautiful lake about an hour away on a bus.
Got to love those busses, the ones I never fit in.

We get to Cali bus terminal and a stranger starts selling his hostel to us, because we looked like the type going to the lake region.

Originally Maya and I were going to go camping but we decided to trust the guy and take his room, which we bargained for cheaper.

The bus ride lasted an extra 2 hours (of course) because they were blowing up parts of  the road to fix it, yes blasting it to fix it . . .. So we took this random road throughout the mountains hugging every cliffside with every turn and passing small little mountain towns, it can definitely change your perspective on how we live.

We get into Darien where we staying for the night around 9 o'clock and this little 12-year-old boy named Alejandro
(The same as our last adventure)
He leads to an awesome hostel. The woman Patricia runs the place it was a good spot. That night we met some other travelers from Germany and London.

They were here at the lake to kite surf for the summer. The english man was in a mid-life crisis and you could tell. He said it himself. Really he was a strange guy.

We go to sleep on beds made of rocks very uncomfortable....

The next morning it was cloudy and chilly so we stayed in the hostel relaxing on the hammock and enjoyed the awesome view and cooked food.

Also I love that every place comes with a hammock

As soon as the sun comes out Maricela and I finish cooking and run as fast we can to get out of the house to get to our campsite to get some sun. We pay this guy a few peso's to take us to the campgrounds with his jeep.

We pick one spot that seemed perfect. We stayed at a campground called berlin

We camp out that night and set up tent...

The next day was beautiful. Sun was out (i got burnt) and the lake was so clean.

Rise and Shine!
Old School Camping

TOUGH MUDDER.

The clouds were perfect.
For Lunch we sat on the Hillside over looking our site under a giant patch of flowers.

After Lunch Sleep

This is how my summer has felt thus far. (nice and relaxed)

After Lunch we start packing up to beat the rain storm.
While packing

I fell down a slope chasing a hat, breaking my sandal
and cutting up both my feet from jumping off the dock
(I now have scabs and a blister)

We hitchhike back to the center of town while I was barefoot
bought some cheap ones for about
4 U$D

Finally after new shoes we take off home
