- Hang out with your best friend and catch up
- Chill in a hammock (In Colombia)
- Manage to get all of our stuff together and take an hour long bus ride to go rock climbing. . . WIN
As part of my trip we took a bus that was the size of my shoe and i was freakishly to big for by the way, To a spot called Suesca (look that up). It was beautiful we show up late at night with no phone and no exact address to where we were going to stay that night.
So after some food shopping, borrowing of a phone and one last bus heading back to where we came from. We get off and meet a gentlemen named Alejandro (insert lady gaga in your head now). He walks us down a dark path beyond the main street through paths in between cow fields. Turns out our Hostel was once a barn and was transformed well into a hostel.
After Patrick Wrestled with the fire we finally just pass out, of course after some rum and a cooked meal
The morning brought a much better perspective to our new found temporary home. The view was amazing and right out front here are just a few close ups of the flowers we had. Most importantly was the fact that we were nestled in between all these mountains.
The best part of our morning besides breakfast and waking up really early was that today we were going rock climbing!
(so we dressed the part)
We met our guide Alejandro and his two dogs at 10 am to start our adventure of the day needless to say the pictures will explain how amazing our day trip was!
| Can you see me ? |
Of course the Virgin Mary watching over us children. . .
The view was spectacular no picture or words can do it justice.
It was a serious workout amazing none the less.
After our day we headed back to home sweet home
We snacked on my new favorite fruit that we have managed to come up with a few names for
- Snots
- Alien Eggs
- Or Granadilla which is what it is really called
| (most amazing thing I have tasted in a long time) |
Food, Drink & laughter was the end of our night.
AND WERE BACK NEXT MORNING SATURDAY JUNE 11TH
WE GO MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDING
A simple start to our last day in Suesca, we finish up our grub and then we went on a four hour mountain bike trail ride which is not the most ideal time to take lots of pictures while peddling down a steep rocky trail. What a great thrill.
The Mud we collected on our bodies we deserved a prize
We finally showered and packed up to say good bye to our little spot it was a sweet departure. (Especially because we had a 10 hour bus ride back to Cali that night eeggghhh)
Then here we are on the road again waiting to hail down the bus
This is where we went Rock climbing if you need to know!
So far my trip has just been spectacular 64 days left and counting every breath to make this last.
Good night I miss you guys sleep well
Love Patrick and Maricela
